Under 18’s

Here is information needed when making a booking if you are under 18 or you are making a booking for your child.

Bringing ID

We require a valid, in date photo ID for your child and yourself at the time of the appointment.

We only accept a passport, driving licence, EU ID card or a CitizensCard.

(CitizensCard are quick and affordable!)

We do not accept out of date ID, birth certificates, bank cards or student ID. We also do not accept photocopies or photos of ID.

If the correct ID is not provided at the time of the appointment, you will be charged 100% of the service fee. We make this as clear as possible on all areas of our website and booking system. By booking an appointment with us, you are agreeing to this.

Parent or Legal Guardian

If your child is under the age of 18, they will need a parent or guardian present at the time of the appointment. If you are a legal guardian, you will need court documents to prove this.

Other members of the family such as aunts/uncles, grandparents, siblings etc. will not be able to provide consent unless they have proof they are the legal guardian of the child being pierced.

If you show up without a parent or legal guardian, you will be charged 100% of your booking fee.

Age restrictions

Lobes - 8 years & above

Nose or other ear piercings - 13 & above

Eyebrow, any lip or navel - 16 & above

Nipple piercings - 18 & above

Group bookings

If you wish to book for more than one child or book as a group, you may want to contact us to help book you in. We can get booked up with limited availability, especially at the weekend. We will do out very best to accommodate your booking.

We ask that if your are booking in someone else’s child, you do so with the parent’s name, email and mobile phone number so we are able to send them a form to fill out for their own child.

You cannot provide consent for another person’s child so each child will need their own parent or legal guardian present at the time of the appointment.

Form filling

After making a booking in your name, you will receive a form to fill out for each child through our booking system, Fresha.

You need to ensure the name and date of birth on the form matches the child having a piercing.

If you are experiencing issues with filling this out, we can help you at the time of the appointment. If the form is filled out incorrectly, we will ask you to complete it again before proceeding with the piercing.

Coming to the studio

As we are a small studio, we do limit how many people can be in the studio at one time. This is for safety and ensuring a calm environment for our client and staff.

We ask that only the child/children having the piercing and their parent or legal guardian come into the studio. If you bring other people with you, including other children, they will be asked to wait outside.

We request the parent or guardian to sit outside the piercing room, still in view of their child. This is at the discretion of the piercer.

Consent

Team LNO believes it is vital that anyone having a piercing with us is fully consenting. If the piercer feels that the child is too nervous or changes their mind, we will reschedule for when the child is ready. We want our younger clients to be comfortable and never feel forced to make decisions about their bodies.

As a parent or legal guardian, we ask that you respect our piercers decision and the consent of the child being pierced. We always want our first timers to feel welcome and listened to.

We as piercers love to pierce, especially first time piercings! We just need your help to ensure we can do this.

Aftercare

As part of our service, we provide full aftercare. The full version is here. This is given to you and the child verbally and written at the time of the appointment. Your piercer may give further aftercare advice depending on the piercing.

We are always on hand for any difficulties or worries that you may have. You can book a check up with one of our team. If you can’t get in to see us, you can send clear images in a few angles and we will get back to you when we are able to. The best way to do this is via email or WhatsApp.

It is important you follow the aftercare provided to ensure a happy healing piercing. We cannot take any liability if the aftercare is not followed.

At LNO, we want you to have the best experience possible!

We are first aid trained and are well versed in dealing with anxious clients.

LNO is fully accessible for all our clients.

We try to create a calming environment to ensure our clients are comfortable when visiting us. Please help us to do this by keeping noise to a minimum so our piercers can concentrate and clients are calm.

If any of our team receives any sort of abuse or is argued with over their decisions, you will be asked to leave and banned from any future bookings.
